At Grace, children and youth are an important and valued part of our faith family.
We strive to make each and every one of them feel at home.
In addition to our Sunday morning programs, we organize special times for them with our Christmas and Easter parties and, in June, with our outdoor service and congregational picnic. Each Sunday morning our children come to the beginning of our Worship time together and respond with enthusiasm to the invitation to come to the front for Children's Time before going down to the children's program.
We have a great team of teachers who each volunteer to prepare for and teach one or two classes each month. They work together with enthusiasm, sharing ideas and brainstorming to keep the programs at Grace fresh, spiritually focused and fun. Our class times include stories, drama, games, crafts, and a time to be thoughtful and share prayer. Our teachers are always mindful of each child in the room and make sure that everyone connects with the content in a way that suits individual learning styles.
From September to June, we have two classrooms of children and young people during our 9:00 a.m. Contemporary Worship time: ages 5-7, and ages 8+. During Traditional Worship at 10:30, the children meet together as one integrated group. All are welcome!
For babies and toddlers newborns to 4 years, our bright, well-equipped Nursery is a busy place!
All our teachers and Nursery personnel have valid police checks.
