What We Believe

We believe that the church is the body of Christ in the world today. As a group of Christians, we seek to grow each day in our continuing transformation to be more like Jesus. This is an ongoing and lifelong journey.

We believe that no one is perfect and everyone depends upon the grace and the forgiveness that we encounter from God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

We believe that the Scriptures are a primary source of nurturing and strengthening of a spiritual life, and within them we are provided the insight and wisdom to grow in spirit and faith.

We believe that prayer plays an important part in nourishing and strengthening Christian lives and keeping us in connection with God's eternal spirit.

We believe that we are called as individuals to make a difference in the lives of others: to reflect the spiritual qualities of Jesus and integrate them in our interaction with individuals and the community around us.

We believe that worship is an important part of a strong congregation. Each week as we worship, we bring our collective spirits to join with the spiritual presence of Christ. It is the guiding presence of the Holy Spirit that enables us to become more like Jesus.

We believe that it is the responsibility of  our congregation to serve communities both near and far and reflect the love, compassion and grace of God.
