Thinking about coming? If you are thinking about visiting us for the first time here are some things that would be helpful to know:
How Do I Get to Grace Church? Grace Church is located in the south end of Peterborough, below Lansdowne Street. We are on the corner of Monaghan road and Howden Street, directly across from Kenner collegiate. Click here to access the google map.
What time is the service? We have a Blended Service that begins at 10am and runs for approximately 75 minutes. We offer some contemporary worship songs, some traditional hymns, an inspiring message, a children's time and Sunday school/nursery.
What if I have children? There is a children's time during service and there is a "busy box" of activities at the back of the sanctuary for children that may be shy to go downstairs. We offer Sunday school and nursery downstairs.
How long are the services? Each service runs about 75 minutes in length.
When should I arrive for the service? Most people arrive between 10 to 15 minutes before the service begins.
Which door do I use? You can enter into the church through the door from the parking lot. At the top of the stairs you'll be welcomed by one of our greeters who will help you feel comfortable within our congregation.
What is the music like? Our worship band sings some of the latest up-tempo Christian songs. We are also blessed with hearing some original songs written by members of the band. We also sing some of the great traditional hymns of the Christian church and are blessed with the uplifting choral music of our choir and organ.
Is there a dress code? Absolutely not: just come as you are! We want you to feel comfortable as you spend this time with us. People usually come in anything from jeans to business casual.
Do I have to sing? Not if you don't feel comfortable. The words to every song are up on the screen at the front of the church and that makes it easy to sing along. It is completely up to you.
What does it cost to attend? There is no cost to come and worship. The members of our congregation are glad to provide you with this opportunity to be with us. So just come and enjoy!
Who is the speaker? We are blessed to have Reverend Andrew Macpherson offer an inspiring message each Sunday. We also have dedicated and talented lay preachers, Celia Hunter and Susan Sweet Lebeau, who offer thoughtful message when our Minister is absent. We are also thankful for our S.M.E. candidate Kevin Fitzpatrick who plans monthly activities as our Youth and Young Families Minister.
