Grace United Church
19th Grace Scouting

There are four very active groups at Grace:

Beavers for children ages 5 - 7  (Thursdays, 6:30 -7:30 p.m.);
Cubs for 8 - 10 year olds (Wednesdays, 6:30-8:00p.m.);
Scouts for 11-14 year olds (Tuesday 6:30-8:30 p.m.)
Venturers, ages 15 - 18 (Thursdays at 7:30-9:30 p.m.)

They meet each week downstairs in the Activity Hall at Grace, but are often out and about at activities that include a Winter Fun Day, White Tail Day and Beaveree; Kub Kar Rally, weekend Winterfest and Cuboree;  floor hockey tournaments, tree planting, visits to the Canadian Canoe Museum and the zoo, community food drives for our Ministry of Compassion and Scouting camping programs.  Our Venturers travelled to Newfoundland this past summer for Scout Canada's National Venture Jamboree.  They had an awesome time.
Each February, 19th Grace Scouting honours its founder with special events and a Baden Powell Sunday worship service.  A number of adults in our congregation serve as Scouters.  To find out more about the Scouting program, give our office a call at 705-742-5846 and we'll put you in touch with a leader who can answer your questions.
