Grace United Church
Ministry of Compassion

Our Ministry of Compassion is our Grace Church Food Bank, and more.

Each Tuesday morning, 9:30 - 11:00a.m. Tom, Judy, Ferne, and Gary and some very dedicated volunteers, including Carol,  one of our Parish Nurses, serve by providing support to those in need of food and other occasional assistance.  Our congregation is generous in its donations of non-perishable food, and this ministry is supported through our budget.
The Friday afternoon bid euchre group  and G.P.I.F also continue to provide donations to the cupboards.  We have congregation members and friends who knit toques and mitts , and gently used clothing and other houshold items are often available for our clients.

The number of clients we served to the end of August 2016 are 74 families, 122 adults and 111 children compared to 60 families, 76 adults and 110 children in 2015.  What a blessing to be able to help our neighbours in need!
